For years, one of the clerks in the Office of the Register of Deeds of Malaybalay City collected used staple wires in a jar. This is a very common sight in most government offices in the Philippines, but this one is the largest amount of used staple wires I have seen.  An indication of the volume of paperwork that goes on in the office.

LUCKY PICK

Somebody finally won the P741M grand lotto and it wasn’t me.. huhuhuhu! Too bad.

It was reported that the winner placed his bet in Olongapo City and bought a Lucky Pick (random) combination.  It was believed that the winner bought the ticket in haste and didn’t even think about the numbers.

I am wishing it should have been me if I had just placed a bet last night.  Like the lotto winner, I bet on a lucky pick number most of the time.   It takes less time than having to think of “significant” numbers and shading the numbers on the lotto slip.  I just don’t have the patience for that.

The winning combination being a lucky pick, one could surmise that the winner spent probably only 7 seconds in buying the ticket which won P741M.

The winner has not surfaced up to now and is given only one year to claim his prize.  Now, people are discussing whether lotto winners should remain anonymous.  If you were the lotto winner, would you remain anonymous?
